Will I still receive paper statements?
Yes, but you can also view your last 6 statements online. Paper statements are automatically sent to you free of charge.
How do I make a customer service request?
Most requests you can complete yourself online. Anything else can be
requested online and you can of course telephone customer services
24 hours a day.
Can I access my online account from behind a firewall?
If you decide to access your account from your place of work, you are likely
to be doing so from within their security system. If you experience any
problems you will need to contact your Network Administrator, or the person
responsible for the security systems for assistance.
Do I have to buy things from special websites?
No. With the HSBC online card, you can buy anything on the Internet
without having to worry about security. To make things as safe
as possible, it's worth following our tips on how to shop
safely over the Internet. Apart from that, you're basically free to
shop wherever you like. And our Safe Shopping Promise covers you too.
What services are available to me when I use the online service?
You can do everything from checking your current balance to keeping track of
recent transactions. To help you keep in control of your finances you can
even view your last 6 statements. It is also easy to transfer balances
from other credit cards.
What do I need to use the online service?
A Windows PC with Internet Explorer 5.5 or above; or Netscape 6.0 or above.
When can I access my HSBC online card account?
You can manage your account online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Although, on occasion, access may be impaired whilst we update our
systems in order to offer the best possible service. You can, however,
still keep in touch by calling HSBC online card customer
services on 0870 0100 422. Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
