How much will my HSBC online card cost me?
There's no annual fee providing you remain within the terms
of your agreement. The only cost will be interest on your
outstanding balance if you choose not to pay it off by the date
that it's due.
Can I shift balances from other cards I hold?
You can easily shift balances from your other credit and
store cards by visiting our website and completing the
online balance transfer function. Please note that you cannot
transfer balances from another HSBC credit card.
Is the online account service free?
Yes, except for the cost of your connection to the Internet.
Can I request a specific credit limit?
We set a credit limit for your account and this will be
advised to you when we send you your card. We will try to
match any existing credit limit that you have on other cards.
If you would like us to consider this, please send us a copy
of your existing card statement when you return the signed
Agreement to us.
Can I choose a statement date that suits me?
We automatically allocate a statement date to your account - this is
approximately a month after your account is opened. If this date is
inconvenient for you, you can select another date by visiting our website.
Your first change of statement date is free, after that a small fee will be charged.
How often are my balances updated?
The service is linked to our mainframe computer so you
will see transactions as soon as we do. However, please
bear in mind that our computers are updated when retailers
post transactions, which may be a few days after any purchase
you have made.
Where can I use my HSBC online card?
It is possible to use your HSBC online card Worldwide wherever you see the MasterCard sign. However, due to US Government restrictions applicable to us, we are unable to process transactions made in Cuba.
